The Association Of International Schools Of India (Taisi)

The Association of International Schools of India was initiated by Heads of a few International schools in Bangalore during the year 2005. It has now been registered with the Registrar of Societies, Bangalore Urban District, Bangalore. The Association is a non-profit, autonomous body.

Aims and Objectives:-

To bring International Schools in India together for the advancement of international education, intercultural understanding and friendship

To do all such other lawful acts, deeds, things that will be incidental and conducive to the attainment of the objectives

To apply the income and properties of the Association for the fulfillment of its objectives, and not to pay any portion thereof by way of profit or dividend or bonus

To extend support to any member institution seeking assistance for any justifiable cause

Advancement of internationalism through education by the distribution of services to its members including, but not necessarily limited to, the professional development of teachers and administrators in partnership with the students they serve

Promotion of intercultural understanding and international friendship through the activities of its members; Development of regular, on-going in-service opportunities for administrators, teachers and students within the region

Cooperation with other non-member organizations and individuals in the region pursuing the same objectives.

Collaboration with similar Associations and Organizations

Memberships:
1) Schools meeting any of the following criteria can apply for the membership:

• offering a curriculum in which the culture and educational system of two or more countries are represented; or
• offering a curriculum typical of another country, but located in India and actively pursuing cultural exchange with India; or
• having a student body of diverse nationalities, and curricula offerings

2) Any school after going through the objectives/bylaws of TAISI must indicate in writing to TAISI its acceptance and intention to become member of TAISI

3) TAISI membership shall be approved by majority vote of the Board of Directors and their decision shall be final and binding.

4) On approval of its membership a new member shall pay the non refundable membership fee as specified by the Association. The Membership fees and annual subscription fees shall be as determined by the Board of Directors.
